About Our School
Wisewood Community Primary School is situated in a residential area in the north west of the city, close to both hillsborough and open countryside towards Loxley Common and Bradfield. School Shield

We are fortunate to be a small school that has approximately 165 children and the seven classes are housed in a modernised 1930’s building. Our classes consist of one class per year group from foundation stage to year 6.

As a school we pride ourselves in nurturing all children’s strengths and to this end we have a very creative curriculum using the expertise of the Archers project and the use of the new Sports College facilities. We are also involved in the excellence in cities project providing an additional outlet for creative and personal, social, health and citizenship education. School yard

The school is on a shared site with Wisewood comprehensive School and good links exists between the two phases of the children’s education.

Parental involvement is well established with a system of home visiting, adult learning courses and parental participation in the classroom.

Wisewood is a welcoming and a happy school providing a caring and safe environment, meeting the potential of all its children.
